ਸੈਂਟਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ
ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ XIਵੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਅਧੀਨ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਮੈਨਜ਼ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਅਲਾਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸੈਂਟਰ 01-ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2009 ਨੂੰ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਹ ਇਕ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਸੈਟਂਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੋ੍ਰਜੈਕਟਾਂ, ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ, ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧਿਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼
- ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਅਤੇ ਰੁਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ,
- ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ,
- ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਜਵਲੰਤ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ,
- ਖੇਤਰੀ ਖੋਜ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਆਰੰਭ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ, 5. ਵਿਮੈਨ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਡਾਟਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ,
- ਵਿਮੈਨ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਡਾਟਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ,
- ਔਰਤ ਮਰਦ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਲਈ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਹਿਤ ਡਾਟਾ ਬੇਸ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ,
- ਖੇਤਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਮੈਨ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਮੈਟਰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ,
- ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਡਰ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਸਿਲੇਬਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰੌਤ ਮਰਦ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰਨੇ,
- ਅਲੱਗ ਅਲੱਗ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਨ ਸਿਲੇਬਸ ਆਦਿ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੇੜਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ,
- ਔਰਤ ਮਰਦ ਸੰਬੰਧਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸਮਝ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਕਾਲਿਜਾਂ, ਗੈਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ, ਨੇਬਰਹੁੱਡ ਕੈਂਪਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂਝ, ਰਵਾਦਾਰੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸਤਾਰਮਈ ਪੋ੍ਰਗਰਾਮ ਉਲੀਕਣੇ।

ਨਾਰੀ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਿਤੀ 2 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2024 ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੜਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਭਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ 100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।
